What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Small nonprofit organization. Middle of the afternoon – Needed emergency drain service. Tried some of the “bigger” companies, and they couldn’t send someone out. Contacted Mr. Cheap, and they said someone would be there in an hour. A little over an hour later, service arrived and didn’t leave until drain was cleared. Explained costs up front and provided status updates while work was in progress. Technicians were knowledgeable and professional. And did not “price gouge” because we were in a pickle. Technician even called next day to follow up. Will be using them on a regular basis. Highly recommend.

  2. My experience was AWFUL! I called him out for a blocked sewage line drain. He came out with his crew that night and fixed the blockage which was great, but 3 days later, on a Saturday afternoon, the blockage returned. When I called him back for his “30 guarantee” on the pipes to come back out and fix the blockage he assured me that he would be out later that evening. I called an additional 4 times, of which he never answered or returned my calls. I called Sunday morning and he assured me he would be out between 12-4. At 5:30 he finally answered his phone and said he was working elsewhere but would be over shortly. At 9:00 he assured me he was on his way… at 11 he said it was too late. He assured me he would be at my house on Monday between 10-12. He showed up right at 12, but charged us to fix the drain. I would be okay with his work IF he had answered his calls OR kept his word, but he is unreliable at best. Good luck if you actually want the work done in any form of a timely manner.

  3. Highly recommend!! They came out after hours on a Friday night to clear my backed up sewer pipe. They were friendly and professional as they explained the thorough service provided. The price was reasonable and came with a 30 day guarantee. Very pleased with the service!

  4. Great Service and great price. Water heater went out and he took care of it right away. Would definitely recommend!

Exceeded my expectations for sure… recently purchased a home in Trenton and unfortunately I did not have a Plumber come out and inspect my home during the buying process. Nonetheless, after about 4 months of living in the home, I noticed my kitchen sink was clogged and wouldn’t fix itself after using the store brought plunger. I went to the BBB website to find a reputable company and Clinton Plumbing was at the top of the list so I gave them a call. Within an hour after speaking to Abby, two technicians were at my home . Turned out my sewer line was clogged and and needed to be cleared in order for the sink to work properly. They showed me how backed up it was and they even pulled tree roots out of the line (somehow my air filter was underground)… I couldn’t believe it. Smh, they called the owner Peter to come out and have a look at it before they began officially working on it. He came within an hour and did an assessment. He walked me through the whole thing. After everything, he sent me an invoice with two different options I could choose from to fix the issues. He even gave me a recommendation to fix the entire issue permanently. I was so appreciative. After speaking it over with my fiancé, we decided on what would work best for us be let them know our plan. And they got right on it. So happy I went with this place…. if your in doubt or first home owners, I definitely recommend this company. They walk you through the process, follow through with their work and don’t take advantage of you with prices; they even helped me out. Thank you so much Peter and your staff! I truly appreciate it!

They are fine if you need something absolutely routine done. For instance they come to service our furnace roughly yearly. They are nice and seem to do this well (my only measurement is that the furnace hasn’t died). But they have come to do a couple of non-standard things and those didn’t go as well. One time in particular they were very frustrating… I bought a “smart thermostat” to install, but in order to do so I need to install a common wire. I bought the expansion pack which makes this possible, but to install the wire one needs to open up the furnace power supply. I didn’t feel comfortable doing this, so I called CPH to help. When the service guy arrived he told me that the thermostat “was incompatible” with my furnace, an common wire would need to be installed. When I told him that’s why I called, and them gave him the expansion pack plus information for installing it, he refused to even read the information and kept saying “it’s incompatible, you need to install a common wire”; he clearly didn’t want to try to do this work. He then suggested telling his company that it wasn’t compatible and I wouldn’t get charged. Low and behold in 2 weeks I got a bill for $100. When I called and explained the situation the lady said that since the service man had come to my house, the bill stands. I am in a rental house, and this company has a relationship with my landlord, so I’m between a rock and a hard place and had to pay it. But I will not call this company on my own, and I would advice against anyone using them unless what you need is absolutely routine.

Very unprofessional. Came out to do a major job and the minute I left so did they. I came back in 20 min and they were gone. I called the office and they apologized and were very nice on the phone. When I called them again to come out to look at a leak in the bathroom, they diagnosed the problem and said they couldn’t do in that day, but would call me to schedule an appointment. They never called. I had to call someone else. Also more expensive than the one I had to call.

Clinton Plumbing is by far the most reliable, upstanding, and fairest company I have ever dealt with. I encourage everyone to call on them next time they need an install or repair.

I had a great experience with Dave and his team at Tri-City. I found his name on the permit for the water heater that was installed right before I bought my house. I called him when it stopped working and He came out to fix it covered under warranty entirely. Even though it was just a warranty fix he still responded quickly and got the work completed with careful attention to the fixtures and issues that created the mechanical problem. 10/10 will be using again in the future if I have plumbing mechanical needs!

I give 2 stars because I had to keep calling for almost 4 weeks to have my job done after they were paid in full. They were quick on response when i called to have the service started and quick to come and do the job, wasn’t quick to complete. I called a few times and left 3 voice-mail, 1 was responded to, and I called and spoke with the rep on the phone twice and never got a call back. If I didn’t have to go through all of this to get the job done, I would’ve given 5 stars. Never nice ppl.

This company’s work was NOT done up to code in our house in Hamilton township. We had to schedule them to come out to fix the work they should have done right the first time. They NEVER showed up, never called, and haven’t responded to our multiple emails and phone calls since then. I would NOT recommend them to anyone.
