What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. We were visiting the Irvine area and needed to pick up some supplies for our stay so Costco it is.

I noticed this Costco isn’t jam-packed with people like some of the ones that I have been to. It’s not quiet, but steady with parking spaces still available and plenty of room to walk around the warehouse.

Having gone to many Costcos across the US and Canada, it’s always interesting to see all the variations in regional stock. Here, I found Tuna Poke, fresh animal food, and more Asian options.

The store is clean and the staff are efficient and friendly. This Costco met my expectations.

  2. Went for gas ⛽ filling during our way back from LA to SD and they were closing at 7.30 PM …we reached on dot and it was open…. Lucky🤞….noticed that they keep it open till 7.35 PM…. Liked this gesture of them 😁

Small gas station…i think total 16 pumps were there. Not crowded at all.

  3. This place is clean and way more selection than any other Costco I’ve been to

  4. So this Costco compared to other one has a lot more to offer yes it is pretty busier then the other but there more of a variety compared to the others plus I love asian food and theres more options at this one compared to other im assuming it’s because there’s a bigger asian community that lives here but I always stop in here around 2-3 times a week to check things out I’m not going to lie I hate when I do that because I always end up buying. Something and spending more then I should. Especially when I came to fresh plants they had more options and even tho this place is always busy they usually have most of there cashiers open so things are moving. When I’m heading home I stop by the one near where I live and it just doesn’t compare.

  5. Normally I love Costco, but this location needs to work on training their employees to give better customer service. I left my car for a couple minutes to grab an item they had moved from the front of the store to the rear. Upon my return the cart full of my 45 min shopping trip was up front of self checkout being used by staff to put unwanted items in. When I expressed my displeasure, the employee rudely told me I left it longer than I said, and “can’t leave your cart man”. He then ignored me when I asked another question.

I went to see an optometrist. The young lady at the front desk doesn’t welcome you. She is wearing a thick mask , so it is impossible to hear her. I asked her to speak up, but her response was in a way that she doesn’t care. She couldn’t work with the Machin that my chin and forehead was in it. Then the doctor came to help her, I was told that the handle is broken. And they cannot manage the machine to find and focus in my eyes..I was in neck and back pain. They are not respectful toward the client No apology. was done for the painful situation that I was in. And no apology took place that their most important machinery was not functioning. They didn’t care that they have put the client in pain and discomfort! For sure I will not go there again!

This location is always slammed. The gas lines are allllwaaays long. It’s just always packed with people! It’s fine otherwise but I literally drive 15 minutes out of my way to avoid it.

The food court at Irvine Costco has the most incompetent and unprofessional staff I have ever known. They forgot to fulfill my order after payment at the kiosk, which led to my family waiting for over 40 minutes. We would keep waiting indefinitely if I didn’t go check with the staff. Even after realizing their mistake, the staff still acted like it’s not their fault. Totally ridiculous.

Awesome craft beer selection at this Costco!! Glad this location had what I was looking for (Green Flash IPA variety pack). Also picked up some Pizza Ports. Wish other Costcos closer to me (La Habra, Fullerton) had more crafts like this location! This is one of the better ones I have seen at any CA Costcos (before being up north around Eureka or south near SD). Worth the 60 mile roundtrip trip though!! Thanks & cheers!

The cashier Lori wants your full attention. She would be sarcastic and calling you rude if you were on your phone trying to pull up the Costco certificate to use. After you explained to her what you were doing she would then tell you she wouldn’t have known because she didn’t have your full attention. Is your job not helping customers check out? Is using Costco certificate not part of the checkout process? And is chitchatting with your coworker while helping your customer not rude? How ridiculous! Well, hope this review that is dedicated to her the full attention she wanted.

How to Shop Smart at Costco Irvine CA: A Quick Tutorial

Shopping at Costco can be an enjoyable and cost-effective experience if you follow a few simple guidelines. Here are some tips to help you make the most of your trip to Costco:

  • Create a list: Before heading to Costco, it’s essential to make a list of the items you need. This will help you stay focused and avoid unnecessary purchases.
  • Buy in bulk: One of the main advantages of shopping at Costco is the ability to purchase items in bulk. This can save you money in the long run, especially on items you frequently use.
  • Check the unit price: While buying in bulk can be cost-effective, it’s important to compare the unit price of items to ensure you’re getting the best deal. Sometimes, smaller packages might offer a better price per unit than larger ones.
  • Bring your own bags: Costco doesn’t provide bags for your purchases, so it’s a good idea to bring your own reusable bags or opt for the boxes available in the store.
  • Plan for storage: Before buying large quantities of perishable or bulky items, make sure you have enough storage space at home. It’s essential to consider the shelf life of products and if you can consume or store them appropriately.
  • Explore the samples: Costco often offers samples of various products, which can be a great way to discover new items or simply enjoy a tasty treat while shopping.
  • Check online deals: Costco frequently has exclusive deals and discounts for members. Before heading to the store, it’s worth checking their website or app for any additional savings.
  • Shop during off-peak hours: Costco can get crowded, especially on weekends or during peak times. To have a more relaxed shopping experience, try to visit during weekdays or early mornings.
  • Consider becoming a member: While Costco offers guest passes, becoming a member can provide additional benefits, including access to additional products, special events, and extra savings.
  • Keep an eye on the return policy: Costco has a generous return policy, allowing you to return most items within a specified time frame. This can give you peace of mind if you’re unsure about a purchase.

By following these guidelines, you can make your trip to Costco more efficient and enjoyable, ensuring you get the most out of your shopping experience.
