What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Likes to enforce their “non-transferable policy at their own discretion. Came to get packs of water for my senior mother. Manager Rebekah would not allow me to pay for merchandise even when the cardholder was on video chat explaining that she is unsure how to add me to her account. If you’re going to enforce a policy to “control rampant card sharing” there must be consistency, you must be able to own up when your team is being called out for these inconsistencies.

  2. I am very disappointed with the service I have received today when going to pay for my things. The woman that supervises self checkout checked my card to see if it was mine, but it was my husband’s card but then in a very bad manner and very rudely tells me that I can’t pay because it was my husband’s card, when before I have used it so many times and she says they have started checking since 2 months ago but I went last week with my husband’s card and I had no problems. It’s ok if they tell me without giving an attitude but the employee sophiya was a very rude person and gave an attitude to me for no reason whatsoever. Instead of checking cards so closely they should focus on treating the clients with respect because they live because of the clients.

  3. Selections of products, services, and great prices are offered to customers.

  4. The Costco in Beltsville, MD, is an outstanding warehouse store that offers a top-notch shopping experience. The wide selection of products is impressive, ranging from groceries to electronics and household goods. The prices are competitive, and the quality is consistently high.

  5. On Thursday July 13th, my daughter and I came in for gas. I did not have my membership card on my person. We decided to grocery shop since I knew that I could get a temporary card from the customer service desk. I asked my daughter to grab a cart, wait by the entrance while I obtained the temporary card. I was the only one in the membership queue. This was around 1630 hours, Ms. Nicole called for the next person, I walked to her register and did not get a greeting. I said “good afternoon” and received no acknowledgment from Ms. Nicole. Just a blank stare and a look of irritation.
I told her that I forgot my card and wanted a temporary card. She said “ID” and I complied. I asked her how her day was going, she ignored me again. When she was done, she just handed my ID and the temporary card back and just stared. THIS WAS THE WORST INTERACTION I HAVE EVER GOTTEN AT THIS LOCATION. This was the opposite of customer service. I had to greet the employee, I had to try to make her feel welcome and I had to try to thank her for being there. Only the word “ID” was uttered by her during the whole interaction.
I found Mrs. Aintonnette after my purchase and informed her of my horrible experience. The one star in this review is overly generous. Horrible experience. Huge turnoff.

Well stocked. Has everything you need and more. The food court is really great and cheap and is a big reason why I go. However, they do not accept any card other than Visa (storewide) so be aware of that. Additionally, there was an uh-oh that occurred….Costco is a bulk buy place. The watermelons are absolutely massive. Not for the weak to lift into the cart, see picture below. They may need to hire a melon lifter as I witnessed the aftermath of an elderly woman try to lift a melon into her cart. Luckily, she was okay. However, the melon was not 🙁

The price tags of discounted items are still on the place despite the clothes being gone a long time ago. This is really confusing. Don’t touch the clothes because the sales associates are getting angry. There are no paper towels in the womens restroom, at the same time you see the janitors cart full with paper towels and signs “don’t touch”. This Costco is a joke among other Costcos in the DMV area.

Having a Costco membership continues to be one of my better investments. The people are friendly and helpful. It has a great rotating selection that means there is always something new that you might need. Plus they tack on an extra year warranty on most electronics and appliances. The downside is the rotating merchandise, if you like it when you see it buy it then. It might not be there next time.

It’s Costco. The staff are always nice and helpful. For the uninitiated Costco has 30 days price match guarantee. I recently claimed about $1000 back on floor plank purchase. If you buy a lot of stuff it’s worth signing up for the executive membership so you can get some cash back otherwise stick to the basic membership. Shout out to Katelyn at the return desk/Customer Service.

This review isn’t of Costco itself. Either you like it’s concept or not. This review is of the atmosphere of this specific location. It’s nutty. Always extremely busy, people always frantic and rude. Parking lot is dangerous because people are always in a huge rush. Even tried getting here at 10am when they open and there were people lined up around both sides of the store, waiting to get in. This was a regular day, not Black Friday! Despite this being a very busy location, the check out area is chronically understaffed. There are chiller locations in the area, go there instead!

I typically like posting positive reviews for stores, but it would be a disservice for me not to share my honest opinions, views and experiences, with the general public. These pictures and video, show the unsafe shopping environment that customers unfortunately have to endure when shopping at this location. Costco’s has neglectfully left rotten wooden pallets and damaged taped up pallets on their grounds for customers to have to step up and walk on to get to the products behind them. Leaving customers, such as myself, injured and hurt from slip and falls, tripping and rotten pallets that have collapsed when customers have no other choice but to walk on them to get to the products they have come shopping for. With no employees around to ask for help, or to remove these pallets for customers to shop safely. It has been almost a year since I was injured at this Costco’s and they still leave their stores in such hazardous conditions. These pictures were taken recently. They do not care about the safety of their customers and them getting hurt because of the protection of Maryland laws. So I say all of this to keep yourself, families and children safe while shopping at this store. Stay Safe! #MakeShoppingSafeAgain

I am always pleased by the selections offered by Costco. Each month a coupon book is mailed out that offers selected items at a an additionial discounted price. It’s clean, has products with warranty, low prices, cash back, really good quality, the Costco store also has gasoline near their store with the lowest prices for gasoline and products, and they provided the hand sanitizer at the beginning and every corner of their store. I probably spend way too much money in Costco. But knowing how to shop in the store and what to look for, can save you some bucks. Keep doing what you doing Costco 👏👍

Have been a Costco member for about 15 years-even with the price of membership going up every few years, it is worth it. Long time Costco members know that the value is there however some stores can be a bit crazy, especially during really busy times. I recently relocated to the area for work and was really impressed with this store. Even when busy, I was able to get in and out quickly. The store, like really every Costco, has a great selection. Produce is always fresh and uh the Bakery is dangerous but amazing. No Costco trip is complete without a stop at the food court… which was really busy but moved very quickly. Bonus, if you are looking for gas about 10 cents or so cheaper then the surrounding area, Costco Gas at this store is the way to go.

I’ve been coming to this location for a year. Most of the time the experience is fine. Today an employee was checking for all our membership cards before the self checkout line. It was very odd considering we have to show our membership before we walk into Costco. Then she let a white lady go in front of me and a black lady, so essentially this white lady cut in front of two minorities and thought it was okay to do. A very strange experience…

Lately every time I go here, staff are asking me if I’m an executive member and pursuing me to be one. Last week, they did it again while I was in line. I have been asked three times that’s the time I blew off my fuse. And I told the staff your 3rd person asked me to join for an executive member , I just want to do my groceries in peace.!!! The lady replied it’s just our job, would you like to speak to my manager? well… I held myself together and replied: no. I just want to get the hell out of here before I make a scene. My anxiety level is rising. Costco upper management please don’t make your staff do this. You can have another way to advertise your executive membership shenanigan’s marketing.
