*these DISGUSTING pictures are the cleanest this bathroom gets** Ive waited long enough to say something about this location, i live half a mile away and use this store weekly. I go shopping with my 5 year old daughter and when she has to use the bathroom here its SICKENING absolutely FILTHY every single time. I have NEVER seen this bathroom clean. Feces on the wall, on the floor, all around the toilet bowls inside and out. Im forced to leave the grocery store early just to find a usable restroom in the plaza that ISNT in walmart. I asked an employee in the store yesterday if the bathrooms were ever cleaned and she assured me “that its not her problem” and asked “if she looked like a janitor” with attitude in front of my 5 year old. I will post this review everywhere i can just to shed light on how this location runs their store and how their employees treat the customers.

Horrific experience. I went in and immediately needed the rest room before I shopped. I went to the front and one toilet was not clean. This is a family restroom (only kind at the front) with a regular toilet and kid toilet. Then I realized there was a used tampon on the floor. No paper towels. I went to a cashier and said I’m sorry I know you’re busy but I wanted you to know the restrooms need attention. She informed me that’s why we have bathrooms in the back. And I said in a low voice there’s a used tampon on the floor. And she repeated the same thing that there were restrooms in the back. I’m currently pregnant so before I left I needed the restroom again. I was near the back. Trash all over the floor including a sanitary napkin wrapper. I saw zero people working in the store while I shopped until I was ready to leave. I shopped the baby section where there were no prices on displays and the products below were unorganized. Prices on toys were wrong when I checked them on the app.

I use to prefer this store to bleachery because it was much nicer but I avoid this one now too. I asked for help getting jewelry out of a locked case because I lost my ring and didn’t want my piercing to close. The manager ignored me for 30 minutes while walking around pretending she was busy. I finally just left and thankfully found a tattoo parlor that was still open. I’ve never been treated like that by management before, it was so unprofessional. She wouldn’t even look at me.

“Pleasant and safe shopping experience” Perhaps if you are white. The greeter at the door was letting all of the white people walk right out the door without showing their receipt, but when somebody who wasn’t white tried to do the same, she was treated differently. He saw her checkout and toss the receipt in the trash.

He says: “Show me your receipt”
With a smile, she says “Oh I’m sorry, I just threw it in the trash”
“I know. I watched you. This is me telling you to get it out of the trash and bring it to me”
There was more after that. A manager got involved.

Perhaps he used to have a position of authority and is trying to assert dominance over certain types of people with the role he has at the store. Unfortunately, replacing one person will not change anything. The issue is deeper than that. Hopefully Walmart can filter out people with deep seeded hatred in their intake process and integrate mandatory racial equity training for those already onboarded.

A Curbside pickup order was placed at the Hendersonville road Walmart. The curbside number to call upon arrival has an outgoing message directing customers to call the store’s main number, where the store rep told me to call the curbside pickup number. But Curbside pickup would not deliver the order to my vehicle. I was told I would have come inside the store to obtain my order which consisted of a single cast iron skillet. It seems the world’s largest retailer has a phone system that was out of service since June 2022, and apparently can’t maintain sufficient employee base to fulfill services they advertise. Not that but I had to have a security officer hunt down an employee inside the store because the pickup desk was unmanned. All curbside pickup posting spaces were occupied when I left my vehicle to hunt down my order and many of those vehicles were still waiting when I returned some 30 mins later. Way to go Walmart!

This was my worst shopping experience in quite a while. Many items were out of stock. There were a lot of staff busy stocking the shelves, but they were still out of many things.
But the worst was when it was checkout time. The two cash registers that were staffed had chains across the aisles and were getting ready to leave. The only way to get out was to use the self checkout lines, which were very long.
It was 3:00 pm and I asked the “customer service” person when they were going to open some checkout lines. He said it would be at 4:00 when the next shift started. I asked why some of the people who were stocking shelves couldn’t help out, and was told that they weren’t trained for that.
Probably my worst experience in a retail store in years. If I could give it less than one star I would.

WORST MANAGER AND CUSTOMER SERVICE at Walmart in Arden, NC!!!! Needed to return $45 of Christmas lights WITH receipt because they were supposed to be “warm” white as stated on box, but instead were BRIGHT white…and they wouldn’t take them back because they’re now on sale. Huh???? Policy says I have 90 days with or without receipt!!!! It had only been 30 days AND I had the receipt!!!!!! Then manager said the policy was up to her discretion. I couldn’t believe it. I was very friendly until she told me she wasn’t going to accept the return, and even then i didn’t freak out on her…even though i wanted to. Walmart just lost a loyal customer who spends HUNDREDS a month there!!! She was awful AND VERY rude about it. I’ve been in customer service for 40 years and this woman was the worst. There was absolutely reason to treat me so badly. I will never step foot in another Walmart again!!!

FYI…Target is 5 minutes up the road and where I went after that incident, and spent $300…and where I’ll be shopping from now on. TERRIBLE manager and awful human being.

Lots of unsigned merchandise, i.e. no price. I just took them to the cashier to ask. Store was clean, mostly in stock. Produce looked really good and I bought nice, plump asparagus plus some turnip greens. No employee ever asked to help me nor greeted me in any way. And I needed some help.!

Great place to shop, but not big enough for all the merchandise! Departments are crammed full, and there are racks and crates in the aisles running over with stuff!! And it is hard to see the merchandise and shop. But then lots of things aren’t there, with empty sections on the shelves. Maybe they are still trying to get straightened out from the pandemic? I shop there anyway!

I usually prefer this Walmart over most in the area, but this evening one of the employees at self checkout made me feel super uncomfortable. My family and I were waiting for an open register and she looks over at us (we have our 1 yr old daughter), looks at my boyfriend and tells her coworker she’s “going to step away for a moment” while looking at us with disgust. Her “stepping away” consisted of walking to the end of the self checkout area. Not entirely sure what that was all about but it made it super weird when I had to ask her for assistance with a gift card. My boyfriend and I both have pretty bad social anxiety and it doesn’t take much to much us feel some type of way, but I really feel like she went out of her way to make us feel weird for whatever reason. I’ll keep shopping here, but I’ll try my best to avoid this specific employee.
