What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. There are so many wonderful animals looking for forever homes. All of December, they were wavering adoption fees for animals over certain ages. I forgot about dogs, but cats had to be over 4 months. We got our new member, Peter Pan. It was love at first sight for the both of us. He loves scratches on his chin and sides of cheeks. Also, the staff were really friendly and helpful.

  2. We got our baby Kimbo here. He was neutered and had all his vaccines up to date as well as being chipped and registered as a legal pet. The employees were very informative and helpful. They had a discount that day so we actually only payed $30 for everything. We love our baby and can’t wait to spend many years with him.

  3. This place is great. They have a promotion going on right now called empty the shelters. The adoption fee which is only $20 is voided for this promotion. They also give you a week of free Dogtopia. They give you a microchip in your dog that is registered to you. And if they need to be fixed. You won’t have to pay for that either. They avoid that fee as well as part of the empty the shelters promotion. I adopted a young dog there and I would refer other people

  4. My boyfriend and I adopted Tucker a month ago and we are extremely happy with our decision. We have another 3 dogs that have become Tuckers new family!

  5. First time owning a pet. Great place to adopt. Very clean. Great customer service. Janet, the agent who helped us with the adoption, was superb! Highly recommend this place 👌 👏 👍 🙌

I am a foster Meowmmy for this Humane Society and I absolutely adore the staff there! The foster coordinator, Diana, is AMAZING!!! She’s knowledgeable, friendly, excellent with communication and so is the rest of the staff! I have loved fostering 30 babies or so from them and look forward to continuing to help save these beautiful little kittens. Please consider fostering!! They provide everything you can possibly need for the little ones (food, toys, litter, medicine, etc) and it’s such a joy to have them!

I love to bring my Rosie to visit the Humane Society of North Miami. Whether I call in advance or the same day, they always find a great way to fit me in… I’m also lucky of course. When I arrive, I see happy smiley faces and the whole team is very welcoming. There’s usually a wait but it’s fine because I meet other owners and Rosie meets other dogs. The vets are quick, clear, they make sure you understand what your pet is taking or when to take something. I’m happy and Rosie is happy even though she might be a little sore from injections. Thank you guys, and we will see you again soon.

Great efficient service at this location. I’ve never had a negative experience here. I’ve been coming here over 10 years with my now 14 year old beagle mix. I also started coming with my newly adopted 7 month old tabby cat recently and love their treatment of cats too. My dog and cat were both fixed at their clinic and come for rabies vaccines here too- all of their prices are budget friendly. They also offer an on site pet store with food and toys that benefit the shelter animals, adoption services, pet beauty services, and volunteer opportunities. They used to offer discounts with valid proof of Medicaid, Medicare or other government assistance, but at my last appointment I noted they were not currently offering that.

I love my adopted kitten Kody. He’s opened up so much after only a few short months. He wakes me up a few times a night nibbling at my toes now. He’s so much more active and playful than he was when he first came home. Coming back for another kitty soon.

As far as the volunteers are nice and helpful but am disappointed in the Humane society. I brought in a cute kitten that was dehydrated and they said they have no room to take it. Later that evening the kitten died. They should at least offer to keep it for the day to help nurse it back to health. I’m not a vet, they know more what to do to save a animal. By sending it home it had a slim chance.

Saved my little girl’s life. My rat terrier had tumors with other medical problems, and Dr Soca was very knowledgeable, professional and detailed oriented. Honest prognosis. They are more than reasonable for an emergency. The office staff are very caring. Thank you for giving us a chance to have our fur baby with us for a little while longer. I live by County Line (next to Broward) and drive to AWS, they are worth the drive.

If I could give zero stars I would but your only choice is 1-5. The place has changed. It is not the same. I was treated horribly. I was also refused my medical records. I have an audio recording of the conversations and I also informed them I was recording. The front desk refused to hand me my medical records that would have allowed me continuity of care for my puppies and as a result had to spend extra money out of pocket to pay for the same service (vaccines) that I could have avoided had I been given my property in a timely fashion. And my dogs had to experience and go through unnecessary treatment as a result of their AWS negligence in delivering my records in a timely fashion. It’s bad enough they couldn’t even treat my pets in a timely manner. I still have not received my records as I write this review. Do not – DO NOT bring your family members, your pets here !!!! I was treated so horribly and had such an awful experience here !!! Listen to the little voice in your head when it tells you to get out of that waiting room. Your intuition is on point – leave there as fast as you can I can not stress how bad the entire experience has been

I called here to find out an approximate price for the ACTH Stimulation test. My dog needs this test & I am of low income. A lady took the phone was a little snippy & told me she can’t give me any price without $55 consultation. I’m trying to save my dogs life, I already been to a vet, have recent blood work & stats on my dog. I have gotten many prices over the phone without a single bad attitude. She said price depends on weight, I told her weight, she says she still can’t tell me. I have no problem paying $55 once I know I can afford the rest my pet needs. Why would I waste anything that could be used to help my dog on a consultation just to find out a price I may not be able to afford?? If you really care about saving animals & improving their quality of life, please give me the approx price for ACTH stimulation test for 7 month old 12lb puppy. Thanks

Doctors and technicians are very nice and helpful but the receptionist is very rude and does not even look at you while speaking with her. She seems very unconcerned with what your asking and doesn’t seem to know the answer either way and the wait is very long I showed up at 1:30pm and didn’t get seen till 4:30pm and didn’t leave till 5:30pm which is almost when they close. Don’t even bother asking how long the wait is while here because they’ll just say “you’re next in line” for the next 2 hours. If I would’ve known I was gonna spend the entire day here I would’ve never came and I would’ve spent a bit more money else where to have faster service because you don’t even save that much coming here.
