What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Great place!!! Busy highway sound!!! Look, there’s the Target and gas, gas, gas to go around and around and around!!! Don’t turn right or stay overnight… grab a bite… the samples are out of sight!!!

  2. Shopping today7/13/23 found the k- cups were moved to a new location. Went to the new location to find the product I use not there. Went back to the original isle found my brand in the racks, when I was able locate an employee and tell them what I needed was told by said employee did you look for it and he was to busy at the time to get the pallet down. I shop there twice a month and spend a lot of money. From now on I will be shopping at the Manchester store in hopes of helpful and friendly people who want to work.

  3. Great prices for what you use in large quantities! We eat a lot of veggies and the produce is very good. It was fairly busy but the checkers were extremely efficient and helpful.

  4. Awesome prices! Awesome staff! The entire store is ALWAYS clean and in order. I shop here weekly and get excited about my visit.

  5. Called Costco as a new member inquiring about a tv, only the display was left. Was on the phone with employee Dennis in sales, very rude employee, not very clear with what he was talking about. Ended up hanging up the phone on me in the middle of the conversation when I tried getting clarification of pricing on an item. When I called back to speak to a manager to report him, manager stated “Dennis was right next to me, I believe he got disconnected. He was saying “hello hello” I appreciate your loyalty to your employees as manager lying for them, but your employee obviously has some attitude issues and as a new member I will definitely be cancelling my Costco membership after this interaction.

Went for the pharmacy. They were fast, helpful and courteous. The only thing I don’t like is that I’m a big fan of their hot dogs. However, takes 10 minutes to get one … and there are no sesame seeds on the bun.

The store was very clean and organized. Spotless! This was my first time visiting a Costco’s. The sales associates were okay. They didn’t show much “customer service” when walking the floor and interacting with customers. Not looking to make friends or anything but a simple smile, “are you finding everything ok” or something would’ve sufficed. I felt a bit discriminated against when deciding to use self check out. The lady working decided she wanted to scan my items for me without even asking if I preferred it. While allowing other people, unlike myself, to scan their own. Felt a bit uneasy but didn’t want to make a big deal about it. Not a bad store. I would suggest if Costco is your thing. Or to try it out if you want another wholesale alternative. I’m going to stick to Sam’s.

The new Costco was built so fast! It’s beautiful in there. Clean and neat. The only thing is that they don’t have a bigger selection of hot and ready food and fountain drinks. The pizza is nasty. 🤮 I bought a whole pie. Sam’s pizza is top tier. I’m sorry.

Kayla in the Optical Department was amazing! She not only did the math to verify that my prescription was correct, but answered all the many questions my mom and I had for her. On top of that, she helped us find two pairs of gorgeous frames, was incredibly transparent about pricing/deals, and remained patient & professional while helping us for almost an hour. I cannot recommend her enough!

How to Shop Smart at Costco St. Louis MO: A Quick Tutorial

Shopping at Costco can be a great way to save money on everyday essentials and bulk items. However, it can also be overwhelming due to the store’s large size and the numerous options available. To help make your shopping trip more efficient and enjoyable, follow these simple guidelines:

  • Make a List: Before heading to Costco, make a list of the items you need. This will help you stay focused and avoid impulse purchases.
  • Get a Membership: Costco requires a membership to shop in their stores. Consider the different membership options available and choose the one that suits your shopping needs.
  • Shop During Off-Peak Hours: Costco can get crowded, especially on weekends. To avoid long lines and crowded aisles, try shopping during weekday evenings or early mornings.
  • Bring Your Own Bags: Costco does not provide shopping bags, so be sure to bring your own reusable bags or opt for their boxes available throughout the store.
  • Compare Prices: While Costco often offers competitive prices, it’s always a good idea to compare prices before making a purchase. Use price comparison apps or websites to ensure you are getting the best deal.
  • Check Unit Prices: Costco sells many items in bulk, so it’s important to compare the unit price (price per ounce or pound) with smaller packages available at other stores to ensure you are getting the best value.
  • Browse the Aisles: Take the time to explore different sections of the store as there may be hidden gems and unique products that you didn’t know you needed.
  • Try Samples: Costco is known for its generous sampling stations. Take advantage of these samples to try new products and find ones you enjoy.
  • Use Cash or Debit: While Costco does accept credit cards, using cash or a debit card can help you stick to a budget and avoid unnecessary debt.
  • Keep an Eye on Expiration Dates: Buying items in bulk is cost-effective, but be mindful of expiration dates. Make sure you can consume or use the products before they expire.

By following these guidelines, you can navigate your way through Costco and make the most of your shopping experience. Remember to stay focused, compare prices, and have fun exploring all the great deals Costco has to offer!
