What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. This is a funky, sparse, functional place. No warmth or charm. The location is scary and the lack of interior room locks may leave a single traveler uneasy. All furnishings were comfortable but low (and I am short) Walls were thin to where I could hear my neighbors conversation easily. I congratulate the owners for creating an interesting space in a likely up and coming location but a bit more attention to sound proofing and old school security would help.

  2. I had the opportunity to stay at the Dye House while a show of mine was opening across town. I was impressed by the thoughtful design, good materials, and peaceful atmosphere of their unique spaces. As a weaver and maker, I was thrilled to experience a hotel with such attention to detail in the objects chosen for their environment. They not only directly support artists and designers, but in doing so create a warm, relaxing, lovely place to spend a night (or a few!)

  3. We held our wedding reception at the Dye House. It was a wonderful venue for our lower-key wedding—although the space could obviously be adapted for something more high-flying! The space is beautiful in its simplicity. The fact that we could rent out the four hotel rooms through the weekend allowed for a more intimate gathering with loved ones. Kara was lovely to work with—calm and communicative—while giving us the space to enjoy ourselves. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that doesn’t function like a wedding factory…this is a good one!

  4. Truly unique and special spot, we hope to stay again. The Loft felt like a dreamy apartment, perfectly designed and functional. Despite the “invisible boutique” factor, we found Dennis super easy to contact – he was great and helpful with our questions. Overall we found this to be the ideal one-of-a-kind alternative to pricier and basic downtown hotels. The location may seem off the beaten path at first but as the map shows, great restaurants/shops aren’t far.

  5. My partner and I recently had the pleasure to stay at The Dye House – such a spacious, beautiful and thoughtful, bright airy modish space.

The bed was super plush, premium pillow tops, proper kitchenette, well stocked mini fridge and more.

Sun kissed in the morning through tall multi-pane windows.

Bathroom was neat, cozy robes, easy assigned parking, a cute DIY gift shop in the foyer, along with coded entry on all secured doors.

Very much a pleasant and untroubled stay – coming back soon 🙂

    Thank you DH!

This is a very comfortable house. It is fully equipped with all the necessary items. The area is also very safe, and the host is a considerate person. If you enjoy nightlife, this place is perfect for you because there is a bar downstairs. The outdoor balcony is perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee and daydreaming.

We were staying in this apartment for slightly over two weeks – our longest Airbnb stay ever and was a little nervous how it would all pan out. The apartment had everything one would need with a fully equipped kitchen and extra towels in a beautiful, comfortable home setting. Air was exceptionally helpful and accommodating – no request was too small and they went out of the way to make sure that we were happy and settled in. The location is excellent with water on both sides and plenty of restaurants close by.

It’s a very easy ride in and out of Warren and well positioned for exploring Rhode Island. We did a fair amount of sightseeing and shopping while we stayed here and it was all very convenient. I couldn’t recommend the apartment and Air enough!

Rental unit was great for a weekend getaway. Close to shops and food.Very clean and had all the amenities you would need for your stay. Would have given it a 5 star if there was parking for the unit. That information was not disclosed until the night before check-in. Only parking available was street parking a few blocks away.

Comfortable a cozy place! Great location near Brown and great walk to Federal Hill. Pub downstairs, East Point, was welcoming and a fun place to have a pint, a bite, and play cards when we arrived on a rainy afternoon. Would definitely recommend this place.

Perfect location to walk the city. Place was super clean and had all the amenities I needed. Real cool historic feel but the suites are modern and the bed was so comfortable. The bar downstairs is lively and has great food. It gets noisy at night but the staff left behind ear plugs so that was a nice touch. Free parking was a huge plus because it’s in the center of downtown and garages cost like $30.

This cozy little apartment has perfect space for a small family. There’s a loft with a queen size bed and another queen size bed is nicely situated in the kitchen/dining/living area. A comfortable sectional couch is great for lounging and the 50″ plasma television can be viewed from all directions. The kitchen area has a gas stove, pots & pans, and table service. It’s very clean, quiet, and secure. We loved the location because we were in Providence to sightsee and vist the museums. I will definitely choose this place again!

Great location but a bit hard to get up to your apartment if you have heavy luggage (no elevator, tight staircase and swing door). Clean and spacious apartment. Self check-in is a bit suspicious/weird and the fact that the staff calls you using a remote intercom (installed next to the check-in counter) once you are done is rather creepy. But we would certainly return.

EXCELLENT LOCATION! Walking distance to everything. Came for the WaterFire event. Love this little studio loft – very quaint and comfortably with exposed brick and high ceilings. Like I want to move in lol. Three of us stayed and it was just the right amount of space with comfy memory foam beds and open layout. Access to WiFi and their Roku player (even Netflix was signed in for us). Parking is a pain and not included so we paid for the 24hr parking at the Biltmore Garage across the street. There’s metered parking immediately out front and it’s all free on Sundays. Easy self check in and check out. The customer service was amazing! Someone was always available and friendly to immediately answer any little concern. Careful if you’re a very light sleeper – area is surrounded by bars (aka awesome access to the heart of nightlife around here wink wink!) but it gets loud and you hear everything in the streets. The front door is extremely tight so watch out if you have a lot of luggage, and also no elevator. Not a dealbreaker but something to aware of. Otherwise, we felt at home and had an awesome experience! Thank you Downcity Inn!

Room was clean and well appointed. Super easy to walk to the convention center and some great restaurants. Only problem we had was the hallway noise was quite loud in the morning and there wasn’t much soundproofing.
