  1. Very slow to check-in despite all counters are open. Issue is that rooms are not available and not cleaned after previous guests have checked out. Special mention and applause to gentleman at front desk name Ali for his exceptional service and patience in dealing with my group of having 14 rooms. Ali is the leading example of how a service crew is supposed to behave, always smiling even faced with challenges and remains assuring to us.

  2. Nicely decorated, clean rooms. Expected the room to be bigger for the price paid though. The breakfast buffet spread was amazing but take note that the restaurant is in the next hotel. The location is really convenient if you’ve got kids. Sunway lagoon and the pyramid mall are all linked. We had a great stay overall.

  3. Pros: Excellent staff at the front desk. Cheryl was very attentive to all my concerns such as parking, food, and key issues. After over 30 hours of flight time in 5 days travel, her friendly smile and hospitality was just what I needed to melt the worries away. Very comfortable room and bed. Location is very convenient to all the restaurants and shopping. It was raining for the 3 days I was there. So, not having to go out of the building to have access to things is great. It is also close to the location where I needed to go for meetings.
    Cons: The keycards didn’t work most of the time. I had to reset keys daily to get them to scan at the door and the elevator. The floor plan is a little confusing. My window view was not impressive.

  4. Rooms were nicely decorated and clean. However, for the price paid, I expected a larger room. The breakfast buffet spread was fantastic, but keep in mind that the restaurant is in the next hotel. If you have children, the location is extremely convenient. Sunway lagoon and the Pyramid Mall are all connected. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

  5. This hotel is a one-stop hotel. You can just stay in the hotel and don’t have to travel anywhere else. It has everything under one roof from high-end shopping to middle class and plenty of eateries. I have 2 comments:

    1. The lady at the reception could be a little more friendly. I asked if the room had a view, she replied, the room you are paying for has “no view” (no view, my impression is no window just a 4-wall room). I was curious and asked again, no view?? she replied yes, your room has no view. I asked if I could pay for a room with a view or any upgrade. We’re running a full house was her reply. So the room does have a view and a full-length window but view of the other rooms. So it’s still a view but she could have said it nicely. Yes, it’s internal facing view etc.

    2. Although the room is a non-smoking room (the room really didn’t have any smoking smell) but I think the housekeeping who cleaned the room is a smoker (those brown type of cigarettes). The pillow, the comforter had a seriously strong smell of cigarettes. I think the housekeeper really needs to wash his hands or use gloves when he is cleaning the room. The room literally have a whiff of the cigarette smell. And the smell got into our clothes when we sleep on the bed. This is really the first time i stayed in a hotel that had that kind of cigarette smell on the pillow and sheet and it’s very very unbearable.

    Overall the stay was very good apart from the room smell.

    My girlfriend and I had an amazing time during our stay at the Sunway Resort. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff who made us feel welcome and at home. The resort itself is simply stunning. Our Executive suite was modern, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was very large and we both slept soundly each night. The resort offers a wide range of amenities, including a beautiful swimming pool with a waterfall, a top-notch fitness center, and much more. One of the highlights of our stay was the dining experience. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast each morning, which featured a huge selection of delicious dishes and we also had a great romantic dinner on Valentine’s day! Overall, our stay was a truly wonderful experience. The staff was excellent, the facilities were first-rate, and the overall ambiance of the resort was simply amazing. We’re already looking forward to our next stay! 🤩👍

    I had a great stay in this hotel. Stayed in a club room. The room was spacious, modern and high tech. Sensor operated toilet. Room furnishing was modern and nicely done. Manager Ms. Sahara was friendly, professional, very hospitable, ensured that I had a comfortable stay throughout. The hotel is conveniently located, attached to Sunway Pyramid mall with lots of nice restaurants and other shops. Hotel staff were polite, friendly and always smiling. I can highly recommend this hotel. Will definitely come back to this hotel in the future. Once again, Thank you Ms Sahara and her team for making my stay comfortable and pleasurable.

    The location is good, after all it’s in Sunway city. Hotel is nice as well. However, quite upset during this trip that the pool/ gym is not available as my kid is looking forward to swimming. Probably should have mentioned it on the Expedia which is the App I use, I would have never booked if I had known. I would never book had I know there is no pool.

    Rooms were spacious. Technology for the room made things so convenient especially the drawing of the curtains. My family and I cannot thank Mr Dawoud enough for his great assistance upon check in and during our stay there as well. Rest assured, the hotel will be visited many more timesmamgaon

    Stay here during Xmas. The room was very nice. Place looks grand. However, the stay feels incomplete as direct access to Sunway Lagoon was not available. The design was pointing toward that direction, but physical access was not available.

    For a hotel that parades a 5-star experience, it is disheartening to see the standard today as compared to several years ago. I had the opportunity of staying in your hotel a few years back and it was an overall good experience. Recently, I booked a day-stay but it was the total opposite. Upon arrival with my fiance, none of the staff offered to help with our luggage or guidance for parking. However there were several staff present at the valet counter just watching us struggle with our luggage. For the prices you charge, you might consider to include parking fees. Even though a flat rate is given for hotel guests, I was informed the flat rate is per entry hence not really worth it. Secondly was the reception. There was a long queue attended by only ONE active reception counter (out of 3 counters). To make matters worst, I was greeted with a bitter face during my turn to check-in. I wasted 30 minutes of the 8 hour stay I had, just to check-in. Thirdly, the rooms were okay however the bathroom sink faucet is so calcified that two hands were required to turn the knob. There were used cotton buds in the shelves and lots of hair on the hair dryer. I do hope improvements can be made. But as for now, I might consider other locations for my next trip.

    Booked a deluxe room for 4D3N. Today overall was great when walking into the hotel, check in till the moment entering the room. Once walk in saw a beige colour sofa beside the bed was in black colour stain that really disappointed me because a 5* hotel shouldn’t have so dirty furniture in the room. Probably because normally I would share all the places to my friends whenever I visit but at this moment my sharing just ended at to front door that really spoil up my mood of sharing. Hopefully there will improvement regarding its because overall was great, don’t let the one small furniture that spoil up the overall view.

    Stay here 8-10 Feb 2023. Been here for business matter. Overall was great. But I think this hotel need to cook variety of food when it comes to breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food taste was moderate only. Next the bell boy/front man should asked and help customer to bring their bag rather than look only.

    Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in my entire life, even when I stayed at 3 star hotel i got better experience than this. The room was so dim that I need to use flashlight if I don’t open the curtains, only lights available is the bedside lamp and table lamp, no ceiling lamp. Like seriously? No towel provided and when asked the staff said no towel for today, need to wait for tomorrow. So does the management decide to leave this as it is? It’s not the 1st time customers complained about towels I bet. (Please it’s common sense if towels are insufficient management should restock) Cleanliness wise was below average as well, toilet bowl and bathtub was dirty, bathtub clogged and water can’t escape. No hairdryer provided. Crew attitude however is decent. All in all, not worth the price and a disgrace for a 5-star rated hotel.

    Most of the my experience (facilities room, gym, breakfast buffet etc.) staying here are good. Just hope they can improve the efficiency progress at their counter for check-in and check-out also for parking card validation. In future please waive the car parking fee for your hotel guest staying here and also standby staff with umbrella during raining time for your guest take their cars at hotel parking compound outside.
