2 months agoI just walked in 10:01 pm in the store i was not even know its 10pm already. But thr doors were open and a young black due said it is late and we are closing. I said ok can i quick go and look for baby milk. This guys said ok then suddenly starting rude and cussing at me. After 4 steps hey its ok i am not going but be nice with me but this guy keep saying something even i walked out. 04 years i am coming to this kroger and did not feel good about the behavior like this2 months agoWas shopping today at the town and country kroger and remembered why I never shop there. There was ONE check out open. Ahead of me in line there was 12 shopping carts that were full of groceries- people that didn’t have carts were going to the self checkout. After 20 minutes of being in line I called customer service and a woman answered and I asked for another check out to be opened. She stated there was no one available to open a check lane- then added they are short staffed. Neither of these issues are my problem. And this issue is ALWAYS an issue there- for months and months. Today i was in line for 34 minutes to buy my groceries. Come on kroger. You are offering a service that you can not fulfill in a timely matter.in the last weekI’ve probably left my cart half full about seven times. When I go to a store and if they don’t have five items I’m looking for I got to go to a different store. I just leave my stuff there and keep moving they do a terrible job at keeping things stacked often a wasted tripa month agoThey are trying to mirror Walmart. One lane open and then self checkout. It takes over 30 minutes to get checked out. They never have their brand drinks stocked either. Open more lanes please.a month agoThe location is convenient but the staff (what little there is) is the ABSOLUTE WORST!!! The place is pretty much self serve, or self struggle

a year agoI love shopping here. You’ll find affordable prices and weekly deals. If you go early mornings you won’t find some items just because shelves are not stocked up yet. Friendly staff and clean store.3 months agoLong time customer never coming back. I told three employees standing at the YouScan that they should be fired. No regular lanes were open. One lady had an entire cart using the scan with the belt. They just stood there talking. Didn’t help her bag or anything. Unbelievable. The guy told me they call it YouScan for a reason. I’m done and won’t be back. 06/15/2023 around 8:40 pm2 months agoI had gone to two Kroger. Both being out of stock on a particular item. I’d called in to this store and asked customer service, a lady by the name of Shane, when they are expecting the restock of this item. She had called me a hassle, not answered my question but told me to call some other companies, and when I’d asked her name, had hung up on me. I just thought I’d rate and respond to this experience with a gracious heart.3 years agoGood selection, fair prices, and friendly staff! I do really enjoy shopping here, but have given 3 stars because the overall cleanliness of the place is lacking.. especially the floors near the registers.3 months agoThe customer service person, Noelia, has been rude to me two times. The customer service desk was closed because they did not have enough cashiers. However, Melissa was very kind and helpful.

4 stars because I have only ever had great customer service here at this location which is a bit surprising due to it being in “the ghetto” aka the west side of South Bend. The store itself is perfectly fine, clean, well-lit, well stocked, and they’ve been making a push these past months (as of Feb 2017) to push and promote and -most crucially- actually stock and have local and organic/non-gmo, healthy and REAL food. But other than its sketchy location it’s a completely normal and acceptable store with everything you’d expect from a national chain store, including a gas station + mini convenient store setup right off the road facing Western Ave/SR 2.
Been coming here since I was a kid…with my mom. Here today with my beautiful mother. Lol. How the years just flew by. But seriously I always came to this store as I grew up. Nice and close to home. Store is always nice and clean, everything is good and organized. I’ve always thought Kroger had some of the best hamburger meat. And that is what I got today….a couple of angus hamburgers. Looks like I’ll be having a good dinner. Thanks you guys! Keep up the good work!
Just bought these mandarin oranges at Kroger Western Ave. Box started falling apart when putting in my truck. Went straight back in and the Manager said it came from the warehouse like that. Now I would guess they just don’t check or rotate their stock. But ok came from warehouse like that. Even worse, so look out more to come if that is what warehouse gives them. Been coming here since I was a kid they just don’t care no more. Quit wasting our time and please for everyone’s health please close your doors. P.S. their lettuce and tomatoes didn’t look much better. I personally will never be to this store again. No more neighborhood Krogers for me.
Their produce manager is very kind and always helps me get cases of the items I need.
However, I am knocking off two stars due to their cashiers. I prefer self check out just because their attitude is TERRIBLE.
The other day the cashier was really rude and ignored when I would speak to her. She even tried to overcharge me on lettuce.
Seriously I love Kroger, their deals are awesome. I’ll just stick with self check out from now on.
I will admit they treat you how they see you. When I go in all dressed up they’re nice, but if I go while doing chores or my hairs up in a bun and no make up they are always so flippant towards me.
They Pharmacy is very helpful. Melissa goes out of her way to help customers. But Customer service stinks, especially Noelia was very rude two times.
