What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Love this store! I was in this area for another reason and stumbled across this store. I decided to stop as I had planned to stop by one anyone. I was amazed by the size of this store compared to the ones in the neighborhoods nearby and my shopping experience here….totally different.

They have everything! Including a Starbucks! They have a huge selection of items/products to choose from. Including some items that I have been looking for at the one closest to my location (visiting from out of town) and have not been able to find. Store is clean and staff very helpful.

I would have rated them higher but I bought a package of chicken to cook for dinner and it turned out to be bad. I didn’t bother returning it as it was only a few bucks and wasn’t worth the drive. I will shop here again. But, will probably NOT purchase any meat.

  2. I am sick and tired of Kroger ripping off its customers!
Kroger doesn’t offer fuel points for its own Kroger brand gift cards. I found this out the hard way when I bought a Kroger Store gift card and when I checked my receipt I didn’t see my fuel points. When I asked the folks and customer service they said that Kroger doesn’t offer fuel points for its own Kroger Store gift cards. What! 🤨 I then showed them that their own display says that you get two times fuel points for the cards in the display (see the photos I’ve posted). 🤥🤥🤥 That was February 28th, 2023. As of this posting on April 25th 2023 Kroger has not changed this display. Most people probably aren’t checking their receipts and thinking that they’re getting 2× fuel points for purchasing Kroger Store gift cards when they’re getting none!
Come on guys! You already make us hunt and peck to clip digital coupons rather than just automatically loading them to our Kroger cards. Complete waste of our time! Kroger knows that most people won’t make the hassle going through the hundreds and hundreds of coupons each week. Who’s got the time in their busy daily schedules for that?!
Kroger you have to do better!

  3. 4pm on a Monday afternoon and only one lane that’s not self checkout is open. 10-15 people in line with carts full of groceries waiting on one cashier. However, each self checkout was double manned with no line or wait. I went to self checkout where a young woman named Say was working and asked for a manager. She was resistant to getting a manager, tried to pass it off on another employee, and started laughing and smirking at me when I reiterated that I asked her to get a manager. The security guard came up to see what the problem was before a manager actually showed up. Once a manager did show up he said they had three people call out today and that’s why there was only one regular checkout lane open. Clearly, this Kroger doesn’t take the customer experience seriously. They’d rather operate with one cashier and both self checkout areas open than have cashiers to check out customers. I was here shopping for a delivery service and self checkout is not an option. I left the cart full of items that I already had shopped, I let the company I work for know about the issues, and I left. I will not return to this location for myself or anyone else because it is poorly staffed, clearly poorly managed, and they do not care about the customer experience. Unless this is your neighborhood grocery store I WOULD AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Go to the Publix or the Wal-Mart down the street.

  4. This is supposed to be “Big” Kroger. There is no excuse for the lines to be seven deep or more in each of the self checkout lanes and only one manned cashier. Kroger. You can do better than this.

  5. What is happening at the North Decatur Rd location? I went into the store today and the 1st issue is the shopping carts. How is it that the carts are always outside!!! Why are they not collected and brought back in on an hourly schedule? Customers should not have to walk back out to the parking lot to retrieve a cart! This is ridiculous and happens more than not when ever I visit the store.
Once inside the store shelves were empty! From the deli department to the coffee creamer. This is my local Kroger and today the store didn’t have any of the items that I get time after time. So we know the staff were not busy stocking shelves so they should have had plenty of hands to collect the carts. I had to go down the street to Publixs to complete my grocery shopping.

Peace, I was totally disgusted with the unsanitary condition of the uscan. Oatmeal spilled over grime that had been there before. It takes just a few minutes to wipe down the uscan area; I am pretty sure the next person would appreciate waiting a few for a sanitized experience. Ten minutes. Unreal that I have to do this. Cordially yours, Maria A Faris

I get all of my prescriptions here and I rarely have any wait time. I’m a stage IV cancer patient and they take good care of me. The food and produce is very good also and everything is well stocked.

My husband then says I just need to use the restroom security then says the restrooms arw closed I then say its not even to 10:50 and they are supposed to open until 11pm. So I cant buy one thing he say no.

Another poorly managed Kroger in a black neighborhood. Expect a 30 minute wait for any checkout after work or on the weekends

Corporate must never come to this location. They do not have enough staff to run this location properly, and it shows. When I go to Publix It’s nothing like this Kroger.. Publix is clean and the staff are friendly. Every time I come to this location, the parking lot is filthy. The riding carts are always dead, and customer service is always close no matter what time of day i come to this store, which is strange. The deli is always close, which is annoying, Some people don’t get off until evening. It would be nice if the daily stayed open longer. Usually, I have to drive all the way to the glenwood location to get what I need. They have everything at that store. Maybe this location could take some notes from that store to help improve the quality here.

Lines 24-40 people deep. One register open and that one is going to close now too leaving only 4 self checkouts Other side of self checkout is closed. People standing all through the store miles long.

I visited Kroger to renew my car registrations at the Georgia Department of Motor Vehicles tag kiosks. It was my first time using the kiosks. There was no one waiting. Renewing four vehicles was almost faster than writing a check and stamping an envelope.

This store always has everything I need. It’s usually well stocked and clean, and the shopping baskets push smoothly. For the most part, I usually get a friendly cashier. I like this Kroger more than the ones in my area. I travel from Fairburn to this location to do my serious grocery shopping. I also have a friend who drives from her neighborhood in SW Atlanta to shop at this location as well.

Best Kroger in Atlanta! BIG and Clean… Truly love going to this Kroger, not only do they have a wide selection of vegan/vegetarian options but floral and wine! Now beware of the Self check clerks some are very rude. I bought some Gaja apples which were posted for 66 cents and they rang up 3 apple $2 so I not only told this women I took a picture. She told me I had to go to customer service! I told her nicely that workers have adjusted the price she again told me that I had to go to customer service. I was already running late but I went to Customer Service and waited who told me she could change it. Of course so I went through a real line and Tyrone helped ended up paying $1.12 for 5 apples. Love you Kroger even if some employees don’t meet or reach your standard. I took a picture of her since she was covering her name tag and laughing at me after. Let’s be better in 2023! #sswirlfavs #sswirlworld #krogerlover #sswirlapproved

I’ve (begrudgingly) been to a lot of Krogers in my life, and this one is the worst of them all. Half of the produce is seemingly always out of stock, and when it is in stock, it’s rarely fresh. There’s always trash and shopping carts strewn throughout the parking lot, and when you’re inside, there’s an internet sales rep at a booth trying to sell you something. I once found used toe separators from a pedicure appointment in my cart. The organization of the shelves make little sense with similar items inexplicably being in random parts of the store. Open checkout lanes are a rarity. One time I had thought I lost my sunglasses in the store, and when I went to customer service, I was given a cold “Customer service is closed,” by the supposed manager. I give this place two stars because some of the employees are very kind and deserve a much better salary than what they’re likely being paid.
