  I’ve seen Dr. Howell in the past, good Doctor. Today I saw the PA- Valerie Knight. She was delightful to talk with. She explained all of my options, and explained how to take the meds without problems. All of the staff I encountered were very friendly.
  This is a clean office, and everyone was professional and friendly.

  I have 5 Stars for two doctors in this group! Dr. Hutchinson is very professional, she listens to what you are saying, and makes you feel comfortable. I had a basal cell carcinoma on my face and she assured me that Dr. Lewis was excellent with this type of Mohs skin cancer surgery. Made the appt with Dr. Lewis and he also is excellent….professional, makes you feel comfortable, and genuinely concerned. I am pleased with how the spot looks now, not very noticeable which is amazing.

  I would give them 0 stars if I could simply because of what I witnessed today. This office, doctors AND nurses turned their backs on a man in need today. They left him moaning and in pain in the restroom and EVENTUALLY called 911. I understand covid-19 happened and I understand that they have to be careful but I thought ALL doctors and nurses were supposed to do no harm and help people? The ONLY help they gave this man was to let him lie in his own fluids and in pain in a bathroom floor. They are horrible people, all of them and aren’t even fit to treat animals.

  This place sucks and is very unprofessional. Kept getting bounced to make an apportionment for my son. I will never ever go to this place again. They just bill my insurance and my son wasn’t seen. Fraudulent insurance billing

  I have given this place my last dollars. They are never on time even when I’m early, They always want 50.00 at the front desk, for what I don’t know because I have great insurance. The nurses that work for her are great but she has no sense of time and from every time I’ve been she doesn’t care about your time. There is no need to make and appointment a year out because when you get there , they are never ready or on time.

  Dr. Mary Helen Hutchinson is wonderful! She is one of the most thorough doctors I have ever been to see. She is caring and very compassionate. Dr. Hutchinson takes her time. My best friend told me about Dr. Hutchinson. I am happy that I am on of her patients. Her nurse Vicki and the other nurses are a fine team. She is a sweet doctor!

  Dr Phillips is EXCEPTIONAL! We were at ecu plastics and he walked over from next door to see my kiddo right away so we wouldnt have to wait for another appointment. When her issue turned emergent, he was incredible with her, dealt with the infection, & opted to not be invasive. Called personally to check on how she was doing a few days later. He hands down went above and beyond.

  Getting the office staff to let you speak to him or nursing staff when your issue turns worrisome is another story and very aggravating, but that is not a reflection on the actual medical staff or their professionalism. So glad I opted to stay with DR Phillips instead of transferring to eastern derm or duke.

  There was more interest in my ability to pay my co-pay than my actual problem being addressed. Was given a hand written referral to someone I had to make an appointment with to handle the problem I came to the dermatologist in the first place about. Also, I had a prescription sent to an out of town lab that has to deliver my prescription by mail since it’s out of pocket and insurance doesn’t cover. I felt rushed, like I wasn’t taken seriously and like my concerns were handed off to others to deal with. Physicians East needs to do much better, but they’ll make sure they get their money from you!
