  This group is just awesome! The level of customer care especially from the gals at the Electric Rd office is off the charts. They are kind, responsive and thorough. My first eye exam with Dr. Driscoll was like none I have had in Roanoke or Salem. She goes the extra mile and she listens. I am very happy I am in her care now. This group is not out to just sell you glasses or get you a surgery, they really CARE about their patients eyes. I wish they could teach Carilion a lesson or two in human kindness! I was referred here by several very happy people and I thought it only fair I pass if forward.

  I was going to remove this review; however, after thinking about it, I cannot. This company offered a “free consultation” for Lasik surgery. After finishing the exam they tried to charge us $40, for an eye exam and a contact fitting we did not ask for. Initially, they waived the $40 fee and wanted $10, which we paid. After speaking with them more, the doctor is refunding the money we spent…. The office manager and receptionist defended their sneaky ways and could not seem to understand why we were upset…. after all it was only $10. Furthermore, they had to get in the last word and suggested we go to another doctor. These eye doctors make loads of money… I don’t understand why they would need to take advantage of the “little guy” in such a misleading way.

  The times I had to call with a problem. I was given an appointment for the problem that day or early the following day.

  I am very frustrated with this office. Dr. Booth is great however i can’t make an appointment for myself and my 2 sons. They want me to come multiple visits and take more time off work than necessary. They just keep saying it’s policy. This policy is awful. It works against the clients. By all means if you have a family who cancels frequently put them on that list. We, however, never missed an appointment. They are booking 2 months out so if someone were to cancel they could fill that spot easily. This policy needs to be looked at it isn’t one policy fits all.

  Excellent staff and doctor. I have had cataract surgery and some other procedures, all pain free. Cataract surgery took about 10 minutes. I almost fell asleep. Its interesting as the eye is underwater as the procedure is done.
  Dr. Till is very skilled in his trade. All I remember is swirling colors in my eye and then it was over. Vision is so much better now. Crystal clear.

  I have been going to Dr.Till for about fourteen or fifteen years and I have always received exceptional service. I love Dr.Till and his staff, especially Cindy, she is so helpful and sweet! The staff are all very helpful and caring to the patients. You won’t find a better eye doctor in the Roanoke area! The office is very clean and modern. They use all the latest gadgets and equipment to test your eyes and it is very comfortable and not at all invasive! It’s always a joy and a very pleasant experience to visit the Southwest Virginia Eye Center.

  Dr.Till has been very good to me. I had cataract surgery, still had trouble with my vision, so I called made an appt. and he was happy to see me again and recheck my vision. Now I have a better prescription for the eye glass place and I feel so much better.
  He is a very patient, kind doctor, with a very good patient*doctor personally. I would highly recommend him for any eye condition.

  Dr. Till is admired by his staff and patients. His office is always packed with individuals seeking advanced eye care. He ably cares for all moving among the various exam rooms within his facility. His staff will readily tell you if there is a piece of equipment available he does not have it is on order. Prior to being referred to Dr. Till, I traveled to the Duke Eye Center for expert examinations. I have been so delighted to find his care within close proximity to my home, and he holds my deepest respect for his professionalism. His office runs efficiently, and you can be assured of the knowledge and ability he exemplifies.   I lost vision in my left eye. Dr. Till did everything he could to figure out why it happened. He really helps and explains things so they are easy to understand. He’s the only eye doctor I trust. Been going to him for three years now. Love his staff as well. They are so friendly and helpful.

  I went with an eye irritation. He did not listen to the issues, and blamed them on allergies in the middle of winter. After 2 visits I still have the same issue, and he did nothing to try and help. I would not recommend him.

  I am very pleased with Dr. Strelow but have had a very unsatisfactory experience with his office staff. I tried to make an appointment with Dr. Strelow who did not have any openings in the time frame I needed for insurance purposes. The office suggested another “doctor” but they scheduled me with an optometrist instead of an opthalmologist without informing me of the difference. This created an insurance problem. When I found out and called them , they were unable to make any accommodations. I have since left the practice for another very qualified opthalmologist who was happy to consider my insurance circumstance under a much lesser time frame. I have been a medical office manager for over 30 years in a private practice and would never have made this kind of substitution without informing the patient. I find this behavior unacceptable.

  I had surgery on both eyes and everyone from Dr. Strelow’s staff at his office to the staff at Vistar Eye Center was great. Dr. Strelow told me every step he was doing during surgery and I believe he went the extra mile to make sure I understood. I would definitely recommend them.
